Wild Earth Safaris are interactive virtual 3D attractions and simulators that take you on photo safaris down to the ocean's depths or across the African plains. Riders are immersed in a rich, visual experience where they take an active role in exploring their environment while interacting with and learning about the wildlife around them.
During their safari, they are guided through the terrain by subject matter experts, whether they're in an underwater submersible or driving across a dry savanna, and are educated about the creatures and behaviors they see. Throughout their adventure they can use a special camera to take as many photographs as they wish. The smart camera system identifies the species and behaviors in each photograph.
After their safari, the adventurers can receive souvenirs of their personal photographs in print-outs of their best images or they can access those photos through WildEarthRide.com. The souvenir and website extend the experience with more information about the safari, species, habitats and important issues that impact the world we live in.
With the launch of Deep Ocean Safari, a new Student Activity Booklet and Teacher Guide brings the Wild Earth experience into the classroom.
EnTCo's The Ride Works collaborated with subject matter experts from many fields to achieve the highest level of accuracy and excitement within the Wild Earth Safari experience.
For Wild Earth: African Plains Safari, experts from the Philadelphia Zoo provided unparalleled knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to craft a safari that is both thrilling and educational, showing a rich, diverse group of creatures and their natural behaviors. Through water hazards, lightning and stampedes, there is more to experience in one Wild Earth Safari than you could experience in a lifetime.
For Wild Earth: Deep Ocean Safari, The Ride Works partnered with NOAA's National Marine Sanctuary Program and Philippe Cousteau's EarthEcho International to create a vibrant underwater adventure that allows anyone to experience the ocean in ways most people have never seen it. The strong conservation and ocean literacy messages remind all of us to protect and preserve all marine life. As Philippe says, "We are all upstream from each other and everything we do makes a difference."
