Name: Great White Shark
Information: White sharks inhabit the temperate and subtropical waters of the world and are often sighted in California's national marine sanctuaries. One of the world's most feared predators, the shark can grow to 22 feet, though typically they range in length from 12–16 feet. The great white is an apex predator meaning it is at the top of the food chain with no natural predators which also means they have their pick of the buffet table when it comes to selecting their prey. Contrary to Hollywood's portrayal of the beast, humans are not their favorite food. Seals, and sea lions hold that distinction.
